Played the alpha quite a bit so let me help you make a decision.
Do you like minecraft, borderlands, dungeon defenders, and, to an extent, killing floor?

If you heavily dislike a few of those you may want to steer clear.

To clarify, the game is wave based tower defense.
It's exceptionally similar to dungeon defenders despite the base building aspect.

So really if you liked or hated Dungeon defenders consider buying or not buying.
