The official GOTY, Playerunknown's Battlegrounds, isn't team based. It has options to play 2-man or 4-man squads, but even then, it's 1 team vs 1 team, it's 50 teams or 25 - 40 teams.

This is the main problem with Overwatch. Individual skill will never surpass a team that works together.
In many games of yesteryear, a team of average skill with one exceptionally skilled player would often win against a team of better than average players.

In Overwatch, it literally doesn't matter how good you are, if your team are shitters and the enemy team is average, you will lose.
