real talk, why do we need a better PC to achieve higher frames per second? this shit never made sense to me, like it's the same exact graphics just going on a little faster, it's like putting a video on fastforward, it shouldn't require a better PC at all
Exactly, if you fast forwarded the game the frames would be higher.
why do you need a better engine to make your car drive faster?
You don't. Most games are set to 30 fps by the developers because it's a more cinematic experience. The human eye can't tell the difference past 30 fps anyway.

After a few seconds of eye adjustment there is only a marginal difference between 60 and 30.

>videogames are only graphics and computer magic
lol

PC power when it comes to 3D graphics is measured pretty much by how many frames it can render in one second. A frame is a still image produced by a pile of resource-intensive effects and resources. Making 60, or even 120 of them in a second takes a strong computer if the game is texture/model/effect-intensive.

I disagree. I went from playing Metroid Prime and F Zero GX to Super Mario Sunshine and it was completely jarring, the movement felt and looked like shit. I'm glad there's a 60fps patch.

I was talking about the OP image.
When I play Halo Reach after playing Halo 5 it's a bit jarring at first, but after like 10 minutes I get used to it.
I would rather it be 60, but if that's not an option there's no problem.

I don't mind if it's a slow game like a JRPG, but in any game which needs fast movement and responsive controls I feel crippled.
I need my vidya boobies to show every delicious adjustment within a 1 second period.
Because fuck you

>why do we need a better PC to achieve higher frames per second?
hardware redraws the world that many times a second
more times per second, more workload
more pixels(higher res), more workload
more retards mining coins, no gpu supply, higher prices. Get used to it kid
