Humans are inherently social creatures and we like to watch other humans experience things. If it's things we've also experienced, it makes it that much better. I think our need for social acceptance makes us want to watch other people react to the things we react to as a way of affirming our own reactions. Either way, it's completely natural.

I watched the Persona 4 Endurance Run Giant Bomb did before playing Persona 4 myself and it fucked up the whole experience for me
