Just finished watching this. I dont watch a lot of anime, but I really enjoyed this show quite a bit. I think it means a lot more to people if they've lived in with a significant other before. Its super relateable and cute.

Spoken like a true dub watching sheep. If you really think this way, why are you even watching anime at all? Dubbing completely changes the characters and story. The only thing you have left is the animation. And if you just want to watch Japanese animation with a shitty Americanized script tacked on, you can watch any American cartoon. Since they're all animated in Korea or Japan as well.
