Game was boring. Ending was trash that made zero sense. Gameplay was unispired shit that amounted to "pump bullets" here for ten minutes. The thing where there were two guns of each type for each faction was pointless, unnecessary and just muddles things up.

The fact that the first choice you make in game is whether or not to throw a ball at the half-and-half couple only for the game to tell you can't hit them with it regardless of what option you pick is an indicator of how this game that "attempted to break new ground"was just another game of that era with an arbitrary choice system, lazy design choices and an unwillingness to take any real narrative risks.

Why did they think it's viable at all to move the shipment of weapons by jumping through a tear that leads to a whole different dimension where shit prior to reaching those weapons may or may not have happened the same way they experienced? And if it's that safe to do, why not just keep jumping until you get to a point where you can safely hijack or receive an airship without having to go around murdering the fuck out of people? The game was so inconsistent from start to finish that I can't understand how anyone at all could praise the story.
>>
>>384555198
Because Levine doesn't understand QM and never once tried.
>>
Its not a shock game. Granted even bioshock was not as oppressive and daunting as system shock 1 & 2 it retained the same spirit. Infinite went full action and it didnt do that aspect fun.

Ironically they created /pol/utopia which honestly looked pretty comfy.. Its like game artists think dystopia is being racist.
>>
>>384553587
Pretentious shit everywhere.
Elizabeth was waifubait and a terrible, shallow character.
The gameplay was dumbed down.
Atmosphere was almost all completely gone.

Aside from visuals, the game had literally nothing going for it. Plus, it touching time traveling made the story little more than something a retarded 16 year old would write and think it's deep.

Easily the worst Bioshock game.

The original Bioshock and infinite are barely even the same genre. Infinite is a straightforward shooter with almost zero exploration, no interesting weapons, and far less interesting magic. The plot was OK, the ending wasn't good, the twist was dumb.

The original Bioshock, along with 2, are far better games in every way.

>but somehow, killing Booker in this particular timeline will result in all Bookers from all possibilities dying
Even with the existence of constants, I still don't see how killing Booker in that particular timeline would result in all Bookers dying and ceasing to exist.
>>
>>384558071
It didn't, that's why the DLC exists, and Elizabeth hunts down all remaining bookers. Even though the simplest thing to do would be to kill one of the twins' parents or Booker's before conception.
>>
>>384558178
I never played the DLC. So, killing Booker does nothing? Because we're talking about infinite universes with infinite possibilities so even if she spent her whole lifetime hunting down Bookers, there'll still be more. That also means that killing Bookers won't stop Comstock from existing so why waste time doing that anyway? Might as well just spend your whole life killing Comstocks rather than killing unwitting Bookers who aren't dickheads.
>>
>>384558393
1 Elizabeth could never kill every single Booker. However, if each Elizabeth killed a single Booker, all Bookers would be dead.

>2 weapon system
>weapons constantly run out of ammo so you have to swap out your favorites unless you spend money on ammo for them

Wait, hold up.
Elizabeth drowned Booker at the lake, but the booker she drowned was the adult Booker who went on the travels with her, not when he's about to walk/accept baptism. Wouldn't killing that one do absolutely nothing, even to herself, because she drowned the man way after the events happened?
>>
>>384559201
Why not each Elizabeth kill a single Comstock? They're the same person but at least Comstock has actually done shit to warrant being killed. The whole point of killing Booker is to preemptively stop Comstock from existing but if killing Booker doesn't do that, then why continue doing that?
>>
BOOKER CATCH
>>
>>384559456
They're not "killing Booker". In the games, they kill a handful of Bookers. Other Bookers exist which creates the chance for Cumsock to exist.

Like you said, the whole point of killing Booker is to prevent Cumsock from existing, so killing Cumsock himself doesn't accomplish that. They would have to kill every single pre-Cumsock Booker, and to accomplish that, an infinite number of Elizabeths must get involved.

>>384559442
Killing one single individual wouldn't accomplish anything no matter which point in the timeline he was killed.
>>
>>384553830

Is it parallel universes or time travel

What the fuck is going on
>>
>>384554031
That' some amazingly low standard, you have.
>>
>>384559701
Yeah but if killing Booker at the end of Infinite never achieved the result they wanted of preventing Comstocks from existing, then why continue killing Bookers in the DLC as >>384558178 mentioned? Why not put in that effort to go around killing Comstocks instead? An Infinite number of Elizabeths going around killing an infinite number of Comstocks would result in the same thing as an infinite number of Elizabeths going around killing an infinite number of Bookers, without causing an innocent and unwitting man to suffer. He's her dad for Christ's sake, why torture him infinitely?
>>
>>384553587
I didn't play it due to the creator giving into pressure and decreasing the size of her tits.
Its the principal of the thing.
>>
>>384559968

Then why even kill all the Bookers at all? Holy shit, what a mess of a DLC. I never bothered with it but always kinda assumed that it's some sort of 'new timeline' as a result of there no longer being any Comstocks or something. I didn't know it was merely a continuation of that whole retarded mess that makes it even more retarded.

The constants thing is a retarded copout.
The idea is that the writers think they're being clever by using this line to ignore plot holes resulting from time travel bullshit.
But it actually has no rhyme or reason.

I heard one explanation that variables were just things people could control, and so everything that's not a choice is a constant.
Except the Lettuce's have a variable gender and there's no way to control that.

I know they say you can't write a perfect time travel story but this is pitiful.
>>
>>384555396
That problem has nothing to do with Levine's non-understanding of quantum mechanics though, it's the characters jumping through ridiculous hoops and applying solutions that have nothing to do with the problems they're facing. The gunsmith they need is dead, so they hop to a dimension where he's alive. That's reasonable. The whole guns for the vox subplot is contrived beyond belief, but there answer to that problem is at least somewhat sensible. But when they find the tools he needs, instead of just coming up with a sensible way to carry them back, they decide to hop into another dimension, hoping that there they'll find some way to transfer them back, with no plan of how to even return to the dimension where they originally needed the weapons in the first place.

It'd be like if you wanted to build a fence and you needed lumber, but instead of just going to a hardware store you fly to the amazon rainforest to cut the wood yourself, but when you get there you realize you don't have an axe so you set the forest on fire.

As for the other parts, the gameplay is weak, the level design is bad and the story is between some good ideas and holy fuck who vomit this shit out of his ass.

I know, but let's just say for right now that using broken Ken logic, killing Booker about to accept or reject the baptism would actually do something.
But the Booker that Elizabeth drowns ALREADY went through this. They didn't go back in time to kill a Booker standing there about to chose, they went back in time to the setting and kill the Booker who already walked, made Elizabeth, and killed Comstock. Killing the Booker you play as does literally nothing even in the baby mode setting Infinite is in.

Does this make sense?
