Guys I need help, this studio is making a massive mistake. I got hired to help work at a game studio, and the project is some metroidvania dark souls style game. The problem is they're doing it in 2d using 3d models. 3d models on 2d looks like absolute shit, it should either be 2d with sprites or full 3d with 3d models. Also, the game is supposed to have some combat system similar to ninja gaiden series, problem is that can't work since metroidvanias aren't supposed to have shit with intricate combat systems like that, it'll fuck the game pacing up. How do I convince these guys to change this game, it's half done but maybe I can help them salvage it and scrap the shit done so far.
pic related, their game uses a style like this, 3d models in a realism style on a 23d plane.
>metroidvania
>ninja gaiden combat
It's over, this game is already dead.
Could be fine.
They didn't hire you for art or ideas so just code the game and keep your greasy trap shut.

could be fine? 3d models on 2d sucks ass though, it always has janky animations and gameplay suffers

seems like you are a retarded sperging out because things are not going EXACTLY the way you think is "right"
stop being autistic, it all depends on the quality of the art and how is being set up
3d models are easier to animate and adjust anyway, if the art is clashing is not simply because is 3d
