I think on average the boss fights are better but the stand outs are less stand out. The dlc was absolutely worth it to me because it added a new weapon type that comes with 3 stances a skill tree and new build potential.

The new dlc is releasing tonfas and I'm really excited because I love tonfas.

Nioh makes me feel more stylish than souls ever did and as a dmcfag that's a big selling point to me.

I played all the demos and I loved the alpha and beta because it fucked my ass over and over again and was really punishing and felt like something great to take over the hole Dark Souls was gonna leave now that it's "done", and I was really excited for the game to come out but the final game is not nearly as good as the betas I played, in short

>Some seriously broken as fuck builds I mean seriously what the fuck
>reusing the same levels multiple times
I pre-ordered it and I'm maybe half way through the game because I haven't touched it in months, because other games came out that have been way more interesting.
So, buy it on sale I suppose, maybe it'll be more your cup of tea than it was for me.
