If it wasn't made by Nintendo what would the reviews/reception be?

6/10 reviews shovelware shit
>>384522807
5/10 it alright
>>384522807
10/10
Sequels are only okay if it's not Nintendo
>>384522807
About the same really. Not sure why you guys get bothered by a Nintendo gane getting decent reviews.

WHADDAYA MEAN, IT ALRIGHT?
>>384523104

Anything less than 6 is an utter abomination

I don't know I think for you to find an answer you might want to look at a reviewer that doesn't typically review Nintendo games. I had loads for fun with the original and I think without the Nintendo name people would still recognize the things it does well.
Regardless any game's success is directly tied to how its marketed, Nintendo could have marketed this game terribly and it would have failed kind of like other games they've released before. Just looking at some of their less successful titles will show you that the nintendo brand equals 8/10s to 9/10s automatically is just a meme.

Sales would still be big in Japan. Not sure about the rest of the world. 84 seems like a fair score for the game regardless of what platform it's on.

It would be too content poor and receive harsh criticism for it.
I mean the first one was still a fresh idea, this one didn't seem to add much and it took away the last game's special moves.

9.5/10
PS4 finally has an unabashedly fun, colorful game to compete with Nintendo. Now we can stop pretending Knack was ever good!
I'm pretty sure this exact thread was made in response to the first Splatoon as well

This. 7/10 max. Splatoon is like EA Battlefront. Pretty and enjoyable for a few hours, then you realize it's barebones as fuck.
