Your entire playstyle is centered around landing your snowball. Never throw that unless you've got other melees to move in with you, or some ranged surrounding you to pick off some damage once they get stunned. When you upgrade your frost path give it the one that freezes opponents. Always upgrade your LMB to cold kit combo for extra damage after freezes. The roll upgrade on his slide is good, then upgrade it for the daze to fuck up people mid fight and interrupt people upgrading creatures/grabbing orbs.

I can't stress enough how defensively you should be playing if you have the power advantage. Stick together if you have a power lead, if the two creatures are about to grab the orb and they have an adult creature, go interrupt it so your young creature has enough time to grab it. Adult creatures capture orbs faster than younger ones. Obelisks don't capture orbs, but prevent enemy/neutral points from manually gathering them, that's all they're useful for.

Squids all about sticking with friends who do damage, and applying your debuffs accordingly. Upgrade words of spite to the one that bounces off people so you can crack several enemy's armor in one fell swoop. Your E is good, and both upgrade paths are useful, but situational. The poison path is great if they have supports on their team, especially Vadasi. The damage path is great if you've got characters with good CC on your team, and you use it to block off enemy escapes in small areas, if you throw it out you can time it so they run through and eat a small burst of damage trying to leave a fight.

Save her focus for wounds, defending and attacking them. Don't panic and throw it to survive a 1v1 unless their killing you means they get the push, and even though I would save it for when they get the push, that several second disable is one of the most useful focuses in the game JUST for how good it is at stopping people from attacking your guardian, but also for stopping them from attack your buddies while they attack the enemy guardian.

You're not really good at anything but you're flexible. Gotta build around what the enemy's strengths. If they pick lots of melee that try to dive, pick the perks that debuff enemies/shield allies. If they've got a lot of range, take the perk that turns your melee into a ranged attack and the perk that gives ghost dad health regen

It's got a decent amount of players considering it's a literal who game coming out of nowhere. The early Steam release did mean it's not on the steam store spotlight though so a lot of people don't even know it's out yet. I'm sure there will be people getting on tomorrow though.

As for queue, I was finding instant matches at 3 AM as opposed to before Steam release where it took minutes to find one. Bot matches are always slow as shit though. It would help if they just went full crossplay instead of splitting crossplay to Xbone + Windows 10 app and then Arc client + Steam users. IT should all just be combined since Xbone players have already been playing against people with keyboard and mouse on Windows 10.

A friend gave me a code for the founder's edition, and I used it and it worked. I looked up some guide for a hero, and I am confused.

It's listing talents and upgrades to abilities that simply aren't there. Am I missing something? The name of the upgrade it says to get is flat out not one of the 4 available to me.

Is it just me or is it like nearly every humanoid is a woman and all the dudes are the monsters?

I'm not complaining, more confused than anything else.

Short answer: no. I played a couple games of battleborn when it got it's """""""free trial""""""" and I can't think of too many gameplay similarities. There are teams, there are cooldowns, there are abilities you can upgrade, and there's an objective you need to take down. That's where the parallels begin and end.

Gigantic has a decent focus on character's mobility and they take good advantage of having a z-axis in their game, moving swiftly across planes is fun but I particularly enjoy any heroes that can take advantage of vertical movement with high jumps/floats. Maps are decently sized with a focus on controlling points through creatures that you can summon, each creature does their own thing, and can be upgraded to adult creatures. also on these points are power orbs that spawn, your creatures collect them (or if they were fucking murdered, you collect them) to power up your guardian (giant snake or griffin). When your guardian hits a hundred power they'll rampage across the field, pin the enemy guardian down, and leave them open to your attacks. Hit them enough: you wound them. Wound them three times: you win.

I wish battleborn wasn't brought up because now I'm remembering how shitty the handful of games I played of it were, how the fuck did Randy get away with pushing that pile of shit to the market?

Game is fun, but too spammy and hectic. The gameplay needs to be slowed down just a tad.

Also, I almost NEVER used sprint or dodge, but I never have stamina for when I need to and enemies are always able to run from me. Why?

they fucking have i-frames, use them. Dodges can safe your life when you time them right. I'm probably wrong on that.

Since it's all user submitted you can't really rely on them being good builds or anything, so keep that in mind. You can always just try out and explore skills and upgrades on your own.

A mechanic that new players often forget:
>during the defense on the enemy's rampage, kills give your guardian a bit of an hp shield
>during offense, kills give you more time to attack the enemy guardian
>your clash-only ability works during the rampaging phase since it's also clash, as well as final clash
>the amount of health the guardian that's about to be attacked has blinking is the amount of health they will lose as soon as the other guardian jumps on them
>if the heart is blinking, it is an auto-wound because they were low enough, so ALWAYS pay attention to the amount of blinking health because an auto-wound rampage means you don't have to rush to the guardian and can go do some other objective or kill more

And if you're a melee chasing down a cheeky ranged fuck jump attacks give you a boost of momentum and if you land it on someones back it gives them a heavy slow. If you have full stamina and they have no movement ability in some cases it's actually impossible to get away from someone jump comboing you to death.
