Setting nostalgia-bias and crap aside, which system was better for pre-HD gaming, PAL or NTSC? Which version should a true patrician play through?
I would say NTSC purely because it was Japan's system and thus the "original" programming tempo

PAL games usually have a higher native resolution to make up for the lower frame rate.

Depends on the game, really. Some games have more / less glitches, which can be good depending on what you prefer. Overall, though, as an European, I prefer playing NTSC versions of old games. Things like Sonic feel very sluggish in their PAL version.
