The borderlands universe was already ruined with 2. TftB just pokes fun at 2. But the worst parts of TftB is the few instances that Anthony Burch wrote for the game. You can pick them out without even looking for them.

borderlands 2 ruined borderlands

I liked both Tales and BL2.
BL2 had some mediocre writing but was a super fun game.
Tales was the best Telltale game, which I suppose isn't saying much.
