I'm really disappointed in myself for giving up on my practice for dota 2. The team I quit went on to win 4 matches in pools in a state-wide tournament, and made it to the top 8, and said they would have made it if I had played with them instead of the replacement. But I just couldn't keep playing it anymore it makes me so mad. I get really angry and hit my wall, break keyboards and mice, it's not healthy.

a guy who i know through mutual friends came to my local game shop and we played a ft10 in guilty gear rev 2. it wasn't for money and it wasn't part of a tournament or anything, but a lot of the people built it up because we're probably the best two players in our area.

it wasn't just that he won. the dude is an asshole and a shitty winner. he's braggy and likes to talk shit no matter what game he plays, so i'll probably never hear the end of it. i can try to get more experience in that matchup and improve as a player in order to challenge him to another ft10 or something, but that won't be for another couple of weeks or months at least.

I'm in the minority I think but I also enjoyed the super-to-kill system, it gave all the characters different playstyles since positioning/spacing was incredibly important. That in turn made matchup knowledge very important; don't be anywhere above Kratos if he has his tornado super for example. I love Smash, but at the end of the day everyone's smash attacks are pretty much the same, and while there's definitely nuance there's nothing to ever be scared of.
