In Final Fantasy 12 there are certain chests throughout the game that if you open any of them you cannot get the best weapon in the game. These chests are identical to regular chests and there is no way to identify them without using a guide. I found this out halfway through after having opened one of these arbitrary ass chests and then took it back to Gamestop and traded it in.

Half Life 2. I was promised one of the best games of all time. While I saw some levels that made me pretty hyped (the hype was bigger than the actual enjoyment I had if that makes sense), most of it is boring.

Need For Speed PS4 - the cinematics are live action like the old ones which is a neat little throwback. Problem is the cutscenes are some straight up mkultra shit. Rapey undertones, miscegenation, and just generally evil in what they depict. Anyone who has played the game knows what I'm talking about.

I was playing Shadowrun Hong Kong and got to the part where you had to run from the cops. I left the two cunts behind to die and I failed the mission.
I also really hated the way all the characters were written, it felt like I was playing a game written by someone on Deviant-Art. "Gobbet" and "Liz", a stronk female wacky elf with rats living in her hood and a stronk independent black dwarf with purple hair respectively.
Alt-F4'd out and refunded the game after playing for 30 minutes. Don't regret it one bit.

I dropped the Atelier Sophie game that went on sale on Steam a few days ago and refunded it. Half an hour into the game and I was still sitting through DLC unlock messages and cutscenes that were trying too hard. It killed my interest in the turn based combat I had bought the game for.

Back in 2014 I was just reading through PC Gamer's website looking at the articles and one of them was an ad for this upcoming earthbound-like game called LISA. I thought it looked cool so I bought it the first day it went on steam and started playing it. I really enjoyed it but I got stuck on one part so I stopped playing. I check youtube to see if anyone has gotten past the part but there was like only 3 videos of no-name channels playing the game. I go on /v/ and no one is talking about it. My interest in LISA slowly dwindles until it becomes popular a year later after its release and garners one of the most cancerous fan bases next to Undertale and I just lose all interest of going back to it.

This is very legitimate. In some cases, the game's function might be completely broken without raw input.

It's definitely not convinced me to stop playing it, but the difficulty setting in Virtue's Last Reward. It just shouldn't be there, and having it there just causes one of two things.

You can either do one of two things:
1. Turn it to easy and go back and replay it for the extra files, unnecessarily wasting time.
2. Look up a walkthrough and spoil the puzzle after spending too much time trying to solve it with no hints.

The reason why it's stupid is you get less content, if you decide to get a hint. If they were like the first game, then they were barely game-breaking. That and some of the alternate file combinations are too contrived to figure out. I wish it was like the first one in this regard, as the two times I genuinely needed a walkthrough, was due to my own stupidity for not finding something and the magic square puzzle, only shit-tier one in the game

Still enjoying it a lot, just this and a couple other small issues are impacting my enjoyment. I'm just too stubborn to turn it to easy.
