Though he did buy it because he was led to believe MHXX would get ported.

Currently a shit console. Given time it'll be better. Just like my favorite Japenese handheld device

I'll admit I broadened my horizons, but mainly when I got a 3ds. That same vidya taste translated over to the Switch. If a game is portable, I'm more likely to play it. I travel a lot and have lots of down-time so a game being portable makes me much more likely to play it.

Either way, my tastes aside, there is at least 2-3 good games that any prospective gamer can find on Switch.

Ports on other consoles: 10/10 GOTY all DLC included edition plastered all over the box, some literally called Game: Collection, with some 2-4 titles on disc. Those are straight ports.

Crash Bandicoot was a complete remaster (not a fan though). Ratchet and Clank was a solid remaster. And the 100+ other ports all include better framerate, online support, cheevo support, and bang for your buck. These aren't even sold at full price at launch anymore.

I bought a Wii u right after MK8 was announced. And i fucking loved it. Bayonetta1+2, Smash, Yoshi's wooly world, Xenoblade fuck me those games are all 10/10 and even more that i cant be assed to type out right now

but with the wii u, not only was nintendo content with making the console underpowered, but they were content with being their own little niche in the side of gaming as a whole.

I stood by and watched as multiplat after multiplat went to Sony and microsoft, but not nintendo. and nintendo sales tanked. And then lo and behold they made a promise. A promise of a new console.

But again, the switch is complacent with being underpowered. 3rd party games will dry up on the switch by next year, and already its slim pickins. When you cant buy games for your console, what good is it?

In comparison with nintendo fans, there are no sonyfans. Most people with a sony console this gen have that console because it seems like the most reasonable purchase. They just want to play games, and the ps4 has games. No gimmicks. And a few exclusives that the xbone doesn't have. And of course, the switch wasn't even out when most people made this choice. It's not about being a fan of sony, it's about buying a current gen console and considering your options.

Now that the switch is out, you can consider that an option. But then there's the OP's question.
