What's the best Final Fantasy game on mobile for beginners

The mobile FF ports are terrible.

Pick up Crono Trigger and Dragon Quest 8. You'd be better off playing them on a DS but the mobile versions are good faithful adaptations.

Secret of Mana also has a good mobile port, its not turn based but it is of the same generation as the classic Final Fantasy games and a spin off of the series.

I've been exposed to them throughout my life by family members, but I've never finished one of them myself. I have played them before though, but I almost never play turn based games, however I'm willing to try them again on mobile since I have the time while I'm traveling, but never want to play them at home.

The actually FF ports on mobile are garbage. Go with a NES and SNES emulator and play on those. If you want a free gacha game than Brave Exvius isn't bad. If you want an actual game to buy on the store, then I'd actually recommend the Dragon Quest games. They are a bit pricey though.

There are none and it's all wait to do thing for real world hours and money thw game. I enjoyed Fallout Shelter because it let me have an fallout themed antfarm on my phone but even then it's still a trash game that I strangely have more time in than Fallout 4.

I wouldn't recommend any Final Fantasy games, mobile or not. However, one of Square's best turn based RPGs happens to be available in English only on mobile. Consider playing Romancing SaGa 2.

Also look into emulators, the touch screen controls are annoying but they're serviceable for turn based RPGs.
