I read that too and it still triggers me. Why not just have every mode outside of Splatfests available 24/7? Why not include an option to have preset loadouts that you can switch in between matches without exiting to the plaza? Why can't you just vote on maps like you can in Mario Kart 8?

At the end of the day, the core gameplay is still just as good as it was on Wii U, so it shouldn't matter too much. We can only hope someone on the dev team speaks up on these issues for Splatoon 3

If any mode should be locked to rotation, it should be ranked. It's a test of skill. Play well on every map in every mode if you want to prove how good you are. Turf war should be the mode that lets you pick and choose, considering it's a "just for fun" mode.

The only thing I really have to compare it to is TF2's MVM as its the only other hoard mode tacked on to a separate game thats otherwise lively in regular multiplayer.
Matchmaking was fucking awful in MVM, you'd have to wait for ages just to play. The only time you could consistently get players was when an update came out.
Thats why they have set times to play, so everyone will play it then and you won't have to wait.

I still don't see why we couldn't build 3 loadouts to have to switch between matches. I do like how ARMS has that part set up.

Similarly, the lack of splitscreen multiplayer is disappointing. I could see it being pretty chaotic, but switch is mostly my couch co-op machine.

I need to know, can you play online multiplayer with just one friend? I know in the splatfest you had to have a full group of 4 before you could search for a match. If you can't search for games with just 1 friend then this games dead to me.

You can play turf war together but there are no parties so you will sometimes be on his team and othertimes on opposite teams.

League battle is ranked party play with either 2 or 4 players. You will always be on a team together.
