I don't know why I bought a Switch, it seemed like a good idea at the time but I haven't turned the thing on in months since I beat Zelda.
I have no interest in Splatoon or ARMS, they just don't look fun at all, they look unremarkably shallow and boring.
Every other game on the system is just a port.

I mean, I'll pick up Mario when that eventually comes out, but other than that I really have no idea why I bought the thing. I know it's my own fault too.

it's really not like any other shooter, especially in turf wars, even if you dislike the act of shooting can just plays roller weapons then.

Calling it "unremarkably shallow and boring" is a bit unfair if you haven't played it. It's fine if you're just not interested in it, though.

As for me, Splatoon kind of reignited my love for shooters.

Me, bought a Switch on release day but the idea of an online-centric game on the Switch does not appeal to me. Testfire was unimpressive and none of my friends are interested in buying it or a Switch.

The fun is in actually playing the multiplayer. If that's not enough, there's a level system, tons of unique unlockable equipment and weapons, a competitive ranking system, special events... not to mention, the single player is fun too with interesting level design and fun characters - but it's definitely not the main focus.

I'm starting to question whether you actually know what the game is.

I get 3 free games this year due to giftcards and amazon points, but I'm still unsure if I want splatoon 2 to be one of them since I didn't like the first THAT much.

When it comes to the Switch I'm 100% more focused on singleplayer games since it's a handheld system and it has paid online.

I can think of plenty multiplayer focused games which also weave in a compelling narrative and provide plenty of additional content to keep players busy. Splatoon just isn't what I want. If calling it boring is offensive to you then I take it back, I'm not trying to attack the game, all I was saying was my Switch is sitting in it's pouch doing nothing at all until Mario.
