I haven't played the DLC, but the base game is fine except for the fact that it is really suffers from a lack of enemy variety.It's got great mechanics, but the enemy's really require you to make use of them and you just end up fighting the same enemies over and over and over again. The boss fights remain pretty fun throughout though. Using the different weapons is fun and using magic is fun as well, aside from the fact that it's stupidly overpowered. It's really not that much like the Souls games aside fomr it feeling similar to play, so don't expect anything like them. I would say it's a pretty decent game on the whole, I'd like a sequel to improve on its problems, but it's not a game that you absolutely must play or anything.

I think they added some more in the DLC, but in the base game there were five weapon types you could build into as well as Ninjutsu and Magic.You probably could get by going full on Ninjutsu or Magic, but you're expected to just use them as support with your melee weapon being what you use most of the time. I just used the one handed sword in the game because I think its best to just focus on one weapon type then try and be a jack of all trades, but the other weapons seemed fun too, as well as being fairly varied, when I used them in the demos. There's also a good amount of opportunities to respec if you really don't like the weapon type you've been building towards.

Regular ps around 330$ here and pro version is almost 480$ so is it really worth the difference.
