It's been so long but I remember just running people over whenever I could because the gunplay felt so awful.

You can also tell BL2 is a very amateur-made game. It feels like the people who made it doesn't have a lot of game dev experience and it feels like a stuidio's first project. There's quite a few issues with the gameplay and it lacks polish. You can tell what it's supposed to be but the mistakes and some of the decisions they made with it holds it back.

People are impressed by BIG NUMBERS so the BL2 scaled everything exponentially.
Everything was mostly fine at level 50 but the fans demanded the level cap be raised again because BL1 did it with its DLC.

Anthony Burch personally took credit for writing some of Duke's lines for DNF. Gearbox made the game their own after receiving the assets from 3D Realms.

I liked the gameplay of Borderlands because it represents the sort of thing that I love in games, where combat becomes an act of dancing around enemies while things are exploding everywhere and I'm going fast.

It's why I hated the Pre Sequel. It removed the fast.
