Oh, the Viscount. Kill the corpses and he can't feed anymore. Personally I kept the lowest health corpse alive so he gained +5% crit but debuffed himself with -25% damage. The +10 heal is negligible and if he doesn't have a corpse to feed on then he uses that extra action for another attack, so keeping the weak corpse alive is preferable.

It's really fun. I blasted through about 70 hours of it and enjoyed it, but had to put it aside because of a bug that was causing only certain types of heroes to appear at the wagon.

Although some classes are superior, all are viable which means you can really play around with the mechanics and try some interesting things.

My strategy was kill all the corpses EXCEPT for the fat red one which heals for 50 (bloodgorged or something), because when he eats that one, he burns two actions instead of one and applies a debuff to himself. After that, just try and deal around 30-40 DMG per turn and you're golden.

In my case, I had an easy fight because I got lucky and my Leper critted for 50+ three times in a row and my Vestal became Courageous.

Get real good at developing teams that can sustain themselves inside a dungeon because you'll need to go into the more difficult/longer ones often. Learn how to live with negative quirks because you won't have the time or money to get rid of them.

Scouting is crucial for using traps as opportunities to reduce stress. Scouting is a flat 25% chance and it doesn't matter who you put the items on that increase it. At 100% scouting chance you'll always explore 1 hallway, with a 50% chance of exploring 2 hallways. At 200% scouting chance every room explored will scout 2 hallways away.

When you've finished a dungeon or are ready to leave, enter a hallway and immediately re-enter the room for opportunities to create a new trap that you can quickly disarm for stress relief. Don't be afraid to re-arrange trinkets to give someone with normally shit disarm 100% chance.

If you have a debuff you need to get rid of before you enter a room, backing up and moving forward will progress turns at the risk of a stress pop.
