Yeah, for many times I read those messages by other players saying that there's a secret wall around many times, tried hitting a wall with weapon because that's how one opened up secret walls in DS1 and when it didn't work, I thought that all those messages were an elaborate community prank.

But then I talked about it with a friend, and he told me that you have to interact with the wall instead. How fucking stupid I felt, too bad that I had already beaten the game and all the DLC by that point.

what.

Thermal scanner doesn't do shit, you have to fight him regularly without being able to lock on. The miniboss music comes on when you fight him too.

Using cheats, people found out that if you give yourself the x-ray visor you can lock on to him, even though you're not supposed to have the visor at that point in the game.

Branding in Shadow of Mordor. It's a mechanic that allows you to convert enemies to your side and adds a whole new dynamic to the game's central gimmick of persistent, unique opponents that level up. The developers thought it'd be a good idea to lock it behind one of the very last story quests, which I only got to after clearing 100% of the side content.

Probably the best mechanic in the entire game and I got to use it for what felt like a fraction of a second. Looks like it's just a default ability in the second game.

The fuck game are you talking about? DMC1? I've finished that game like maybe three times or so and I've found the shotgun every time in the same place. I played Demon's Souls before it was released in the west and that game was basically impossible to figure out without any help. Didn't know about fat/fastrolling, world tendency and so many other things until after beating the game. I only understood how weapon scaling worked at the end of my first run. I spent the whole run fatrolling in heavy armour. Flamelurker was pain without quick rolls or any fire resistance gear (I didn't even know there was any in the game at that point).

That game was so enigmatic it wasn't even funny. All that seems obvious now that the Souls series is popular and has been figured out completely, but back then there were no guides and nobody knew what the fuck was going on. It was fun though.

In the Guitar Hero games "Pro Mode" requires that hammer-on/hammer-off notes BE hammered on/off, and not optionally strummed.

You can Google Pro Mode and evidently literally nobody else has figured out that this what it does, people think it just makes the game less forgiving on note timing.

50 hours into mgsv i discovered you can just fulton extract yourself immediately after completing mission. So for like 90% of the game after a mission ended I was running a long distance away from the area, waiting for the chopper and then waiting for the long flying animation.

I played the entirety of Fallout 3 with no fast travel. I considered quitting when I had to follow the dad from his vault to the water building. I walked almost all the way there, then I started fucking around and got stuck between some building/wall and had to reload from start and walk all the way again.

When people ask me about Fallout I say I played them with no fast travel because it makes for a better immersion

In Riviera: Promised Land you are supposed to level up your stats by mastering the use of your equipment/items.
But the OP-weapons that some bosses drop / are found in hidden chests have limited uses which makes it impossible to trigger a level up.
It's possible to use training mode to level up with those weapons because weapons cannot break from overuse in training mode

I didn't know about the different ways of using the hook, like holding down the button makes you stay where you are. And you can do this on giant enemies, too...

Also, The Wonderful 101. I didn't know you could recruit enemies onto your team. I saw the thing scoreboard that said you could, but I never knew how.

The first time I played FF8 as a kid I never used draw in battle, or many of the conversion skills, so I pretty much only got magic from draw points on the map and missed several GFs. I remember thinking something like "why would I want to draw pictures in battle" and never tried doing it because of that.

I discovered that you can actually reasonably aim while remaining in third person after 23 hours in PUBG. I initially thought that the right click toggle was all there was, didn't realize you could hold it down as well.

My first win was somehow prior to learning this
>>

To be fair the only boss in DaS1 you could parry was Gwyn, so if you'd played that first you probably didn't have much of a reason to expect you could parry bosses in DaS2. I kind of appreciate they put that in though, it does make learning how to parry have use in the bosses (which are supposed to test all your skills anyway).

I though that in the tutorial, when it triggers automatically, it was just a cool scripted scene. After all it's pretty common in shooters these days to add slowmo scenes (ex the breach sequences in almost every game)

Each arcana has a list of personas that are assigned a level. When you fuse 2 personas you first take the arcana of both, then look in a chart which arcana corresponds with that mixture, then you average out the level of the two personas, then you look which persona of the new arcana is closest in level of the average.

For example fool+magician gives temperance in P4 and hierophant in P3. So if you fuse a lvl 15 fool+lvl 25 magician you average the level (you get 20) add 1 (21) and then look in the list of hierophant/temperance personas to see which one is closest to 21, that will be the result of your fusion.
For P2 the hierophant list is:
omoikane (7)
berith (13)
shiisa (26)
flauros (33)
thoth (41)
mokuto seikun (47)
daisoujou (53) (special fusion)
kohryu (66) (requires maxed hierophant)
So in this case you get shiisa since 26 is closest to 21.
