Serious question, why do so many people say Fallout 3 is better than 4? New Vegas I agree, but, why is 3 so much better? 4 is in so many ways the same game but better. Better gunplay, a main questline that's actually non-linear (Even if badly written but whatever that's Bethesda for you), and more stuff to actually do where as in Fallout 3 you can literally run out of quests to do and have nothing left but wander around. 4 took some steps backwards compared to New Vegas, but compared to 3 it's pretty much nothing but steps forward.

I actually think 4 is a better game but liked more 3 because I was younger and had more time to play... so I can say I played FO3 for more than 300 or 400 hours, but only around 80 to FO4

4 kind of lost that creepy feeling 3 had when you explored metro tunnels and the like and you couldn't be that evil. You could blow up megaton for the lulz there's nothing like that in fo4. Resources like ammo and stimpaks are half as common in 3 and the sidequests are mostly better.

I think Fallout 3 on the surface resembles Fallout closure than Fallout 4. Even if half-assed.
