How come IVfags only talk about muh technology instead of all the fun, memorable missions in this game? Oh right, because the bank robbery is the only one.
>>
>>384306487
I went back and played IV a few months ago and that mission wasn't even nearly as fun as I remembered.
>>
>>384306487

But IV literally has the best missions in the series?

>museum piece
>deconstruction for beginners
>tunnel of death
>the strip club shootout
>>
>>384306986
Oh an also, the one where you ride bikes into the subway tunnels and dodge the trains was awesome
>>
>>384307089
not to mention helicopter shootout with rocket launchers
>>
IV is only fun when you fuck around in the game, thats when you actually notice the "technology" moments that 4fags love to talk about. but yeah, doing the missions you wont notice it that much. and that heist mission is kind of overrated imo, i didnt like how there was no setup at all. like packie just calls you and tells you to meet up at his place and wear a suit.
>>
>>384306487
does it really matter? everybody knows SA is the best GTA game while IV and V were disappointments
>>
>>384307289

Beats the hell out of "spend 3 hours doing errands before doing a heist and getting nothing for it".

>>384307368

SA is only good through nostalgia lenses. It's more lighthearted than its successors, but the mechanical gameplay pales compared to IV.
>>
>>384307247
Or the time you get set up on a coke deal and have to escape from the police on a small island.
>>
>>384306487

I dare you to name even 3 good missions from San Andreas. The Black Project is good, but what else is there? The missions in that game are fucking terrible
>>
>>384307942
black project, casino heist, bank heist with catalina
>>
>>384307509

the "heist set up" missions were the best part of GTA V. It was so cool how they were just naturally part of the world. I almost wish way more of the game were these "set up" missions, they actually feel like they work well with the open world format

>try and play SA
>always get bored early in game and it feels meh
>try and play IV
>never gets old and its fun to always explore the city with a first person mod

Liberty City still looks great.
>>
>>384307942
>reuniting the families
>a home in the hills
>outrider
>>
>>384306487

Memorability and variability are kind of overrated concepts when it comes to missions IMO. GTA IV's missions are mostly focused on just shooting guys; that's really fun, so what's the harm? I like how the missions were a really simplistic "get through this area while shooting everyone", it was cool to progress through an entire area, like going up several floors in a hotel, or through a museum.
>>
>>384308316
fuck you

>SA is only good through nostalgia lenses. It's more lighthearted than its successors, but the mechanical gameplay pales compared to IV.
I strongly prefer the arcade-like physics of vehicles
>>
>>384306487
I like playing Little Jacob missions without subtitles and trying to figure out what he's saying.
>>
>>384308589

Not even gonna touch that, but the actual gunplay/combat/movement in general of SA is atrocious compared to IV.
>>
>>384307509
>retarded physics so you can't ride on vehicles/wing walk, etc
>no local multiplayer
>no semi-trucks
>no planes
>poor variety of helicopters
>no parachutes
>less interiors
>etc etc etc

IV is pure shit.
>>
>>384308316
it really doesnt, you need some mods kid
>>
>>384308774
>slidy no-fun-allowed cars
>about 10 different guns
>shitty nonworking cover system

i want underage IVfags to leave.
>>
>>384308316
Shit taste.
>>
>>384308980

10 guns that still felt miles better to shoot than SA's 3 dozen popguns that do nothing. And SA had an even worse nonworking cover system.
>>
>>384309205
SA isn't even a cover-based game you moron. I can tell from your post that you played SA for maybe 20 minutes, it had the best weapon tiers of any GTA game.
>>
The best missions for me where.

* Going for the Law Firm interview, I liked how you had to email them a C.V and got a time of day to go there for that.

* Brucie's gay date, similar to the above in format.

* times when you had someone call you to do something while in the middle of something, like tailing someone and if you had your phone ring on it would alert the person you were tailing.

* Side missions like Jacob's drug jobs. That last one where there is a police bust and you can leg it while everyone else exchanges gunfire.

* Kidnapping Gracie and all the subsequent missions related to that.

* Talking out the diamond guy in the hotel suite.

I really liked the more pedantic and detailed parts of the game.
>>
>>384308456
This.

What's important is that the gunplay is good and the mission gives you options. I much prefer that to "get in this specific car or you'll fail the mission".
>>
>>384309821
the gunplay in iv wasn't good though
>>
My favorite missions are the ones that you would never remember. Remember "Holland Nights"? It was just one where you go into the projects and shoot the shit out of everyone. It was fun, it was simple, it was elegant
>>
>>384307942
also, that one mission with caesar that only unlocks if you did all the asset missions in san fierro. kind of blew my mind a bit because i found out about it on my 6th playthrough
>>
>>384310027
That's the mission where you can snipe the target from a nearby crane to bypass all the shooting, right?

My favourite mission was killing the union bosses at the construction site. I liked it for the same reason you liked Holland Nights, but having the last surviving target run for an evacuated chopper adds an extra bit of strategy and tension. I felt like an operator during that mission.
>>
>>384306986
But that's wrong and you should feel bad for having such shit taste?
>>
shit story
shit gameplay
shit map
shit vehicles
shit characters
>>
>>384306487
NIKO ITS ROMAN
