I don't thin TA2 was as good as the original but it's not a bad game by any stretch. My only real complaint is the story leaves a bit to be desired and having no MP from the start of a battle. That's such an awful decision because it forces casters to take stuff like the Halve MP ability and the MP channeling law. It really constrains you and I'm not really convinced it makes the game harder in any meaningful way, just more annoying.
