Still keeping my 3DS though since theres some games coming for it like Etrian Odyssey V, Fire Emblem Warriors and Metroid that got my interest. Once 3DS is finally done, I will be done with Nintendo from there on out.

Have you ever played a Paper Mario game in Japanese? Or most Mario games featuring a decent amount of text? There are a lot of creative liberties taken with the localizations, and that's how it's always been with Nintendo games. But it's also present in non-Nintendo games as well. Just take the most recent Kingdom Hearts III trailer. The subs were definitely not a straight translation of what was being said, and there was a lot of flavor added to them, especially on Sora's part. I figure that's because it's Disney and Disney and Nintendo take similar stances in the localization of their products.
