Despite the large amount of fuckery in Tekken (egwf's, demon spins, e.t.c) the Mishima's contain a LOT of technically correct Karate moves. It's cery specific when you know that world, Kazuya is noy "miguel tier" brawler, but he doesn't stick to any one thing. A lot of his hand strikes are brawly as fuck but then other times in QTr's he gets his dirty technical boxing on. Some of his round house kicks are nice and a lot of his throws are classic Ju-Jitsu and Judo but a lot of Kiryu is also headbutting you into a wall, kneeing your face against it, dragging your face across the pavement and then heel atomping your chest. He is a very violent man. Mishima's are brutally powerful, but their Karate is at least technically refined. You have to know what you are looking for.

But the time period is correct that everyone would recognise Snake's CQC as "Judo", the 1950's had seen this "new" Judo explode onto the world stage from Japan.

Dragunov... Again anon, good job recognising, but it is in fact "Sambo" which is a Russian martial art of its own. That said, the founders of sambo were Viktor Spiridonov and Vasili Oshchepkov. Oshchepkov spent several years living in Japan and training in judo under its founder Jigoro Kano. So it has its root in Judo.
