That isn't what frame pacing is. Bad frame pacing is when the frames the console renders aren't delivered at the right time. For example, the first 25 frames could come all at once in the first quarter of the second, so the next three quarters only display 5 frames, making for a choppy experience even at a decent framerate.

I'm assuming you're in the US or canada, so I would tell you to just rent horizon. It's fun for about 3 days, at which point if you enjoy collecting and doing sidequests, you'll have finished most if not all of them and probably be done with the game. GR2 isn't anywhere near worth $40. For as fun as it is in short bursts, it's not something that will last you very long, nor will it be something you can sit down and play for hours at a time.

frame pacing is the reason I have still not played the game. I played FFXV with frame-pacing when I bought a PS4 last year and the experience was so bad I started to appreciate frame-rate much more than resolution.

What's real great is fighting the pthumerian boss that can change weapons, and he starts with a crossbow and fires a shot right as you come through the portal.

Because Fromsoft is incompetent from a technical standpoint. They know how to build a good game from a gameplay standpoint but when it comes to the tech behind it they are incompetent. DS3 has the same frame pacing problems on PS4. DS3 was one of the first games I bought when I built my first gaming PC and it was so much more enjoyable on PC.

Look at the frame time graph the frame pacing problem still exists which in my opinion is worse than framerate drops and the game has a multitude of frame drops. Combine those and its a horrible experience. If I had to choose between the PS4/Xbone version on console I would pick the Xbone because it at least has consistent frame pacing despite the 30FPS cap. Compare it to something like Horizon which yes is locked at 30 but has next to no frame drops and smooth frame pacing.

There is a very good reason I only use my PS4 for exclusives its because I absolutely have to.
