This game's pretty hard. Start with Goatphony of The Night. Aria Of Sorrow if it has to be GBA, or original Castlevania if it has to feel like classic Castlevania.

literally get good, like this: there should be an axe somewhere in the catacombs,get it. when that dog motherfucker is barking, go on the platforms and let the throw arc do its work. youre bad if you cant in between those lighting bolt things, also you can be close enough to him where they don't bother going towards you. if you are far enough away, you cant do any damage, this is safe and fine, since you can just go back to throwing the axes on the platforms.

don't think you get another god card in that level. don' use fire whip, cause im pretty sure he's resistant
