Esports will never have the same impact as actual sports because real sports are timeless. You can undeniably say that today's most popular sports will exist in basically the same form 100 years from now
Can you say the same for your favorite 'esports' game? No. Even if the series still is relevant, which is unlikely, it will be unrecognizable to today's games.

Esports won't go anywhere until they stop using commercial products.
