I appreciate the originality of the setting, the side-step dodging and the extremely polished gameplay.

That being said, the environments largely being samey nighttime city streets really killed it for me. For me, and I'm sure many others, a little variety goes a LONG way. It's why I can play EarthBound to the end despite its basic gameplay because its settings are colorful, interesting and keep changing with tight pacing; you really feel like you're on an adventure. I got this feeling in Demon's and Dark I-III too. In Bloodborne I just felt burned out in the similar looking locales of Yharnam. I'm sure other people might appreciate having a single location fleshed out this much as opposed to many different biomes, but not me.

In terms of how much fun I had with the games, I'd still rank them
Dark Souls > Dark Souls III > Demon's Souls > Bloodborne >>>>> Dark Souls II

I wasn't but there literally was two, str sucked and blt was too gimmicky. You're right though, the dlc made a lot more play styles viable, still absolutely no reason not to spec into skill though.

I think the arcane tool damage of Micolash, gets a bigger advantage by NG+. Iirc it scales higher because it already has a high scaling, I'm not sure about it though.
