This so much. I don't have much time to play videogames these days and this always happens to me. I hardly ever finish rpgs. I'm trying my best to finish SMT IV right now, but I think I'm stuck on the law route and I'm quickly losing interest.

This is why I always make sure to play a bunch of shorter adventure/action/whatever games before playing another RPG. Or just take a break from playing games all together for a while. By the time I get up to the RPG, I'm ready to finish it. The only issue with this is my backlog is filled with way more RPGs than any other games.

That's the part you were wrong about
