Depends on what you're playing imo. Basically for anything first person I prefer symmetrical, but it doesn't really matter aside from that. With such a wide variety of games using stick + stick, stick + face buttons, D-Pad + face buttons, all of the above, my hands are all over the place on every controller I use and the experience is too similar for me to give a hoot as long as the grip is comfortable.

Seriously, if you don't handle your controller like you're fucking autistic and unable to apply less than 5 pounds of pressure, it's not a problem. A moderate, but firm press, enough to reliably press the intended direction but not much more, and you won't have problems with mis-presses.

Dpad and leftstick need to be switched and triggers need to be analog instead of digital and price (all 1st party controllers, not specific to this one but the extra $10-15 base is insult to injury) needs to be cut by more than half to even begin to be worthwhile let alone attractive.
