Is there anything wrong with a community continuing to play a superior product even after the new one is released, or should communities be obligated to only play the newest title in tournaments?

mvc2 is superior to both but nobody will play it, besides for nostalgia, 'cause the majority of marvel fighting game fans have adhd and will always gravitate to a new shiny version
