A language you can understand conveys far more emotion than one you cannot, all you are attempting to do is provide a facade to cover up your misguided addiction to Japanese VA.

The original has no playfulness about it, she's not being naive at all and gives off the impression she knows exactly what's going on. Maybe in Japanese it comes off better but in English it's really flat. The new version has a lot more to it that you can play off of and use to make her seem naive, especially if they focus in on her just not knowing what Elope means.
