This seems like a good thread to ask. I'm new to fighting games, and you guys said that SFV sucks so I went with SF4. It's really fun so far, but I can't figure out how to do ultra moves? I'm doing the input but it doesn't seem to work. Do I need to do it faster? Am I screwing it up somehow? Excuse the bitrate, I put it together quick and fucked up the settings.

I want something sort of fast but the combos dont really get to 20 hits long unless a super move hits a ton. KoFXIV looked like a lot of fun even though I'm sure it's dead already on Steam.

Yeah with guilty gear the combos get longer the more experience you get but that's more so having good answers to strange situations. The game is fun at low level even with a 3 hit knockdown combo into a simple setup and just focus on neutral

Becoming proficient at an competetive hobby you enjoy is rewarding. Going to something like chess club, a community sports team or whatever, and making friends with people who you can share that passion with is rewarding in its own way. Getting involved with your loval fgc is no different.
