Can we talk about this year in video games without any console wars shit? Stuff like
>personal GOTY so far
>most anticipated game to be released this year
>biggest disappointment so far
>how many games did you buy that were released in 2017
No.
>>384060949
I see..
>>384058956
>>personal GOTY so far
Nier automata. Everything just worked for me, especially music, which is sorta a big deal for me.
>>most anticipated game to be released this year
Unironically Peach Beach Splash and something else that I don't want to name
>>biggest disappointment so far
Hmm nothing comes to mind immediately. Actually maybe The Last Guardian. Got two hours in and quit to move onto something else.
>>how many games did you buy that were released in 2017
Yakuza 0, Nier, Nioh, Berseria, Crash Trilogy, ffxii, Dangonronpa reload, gravity rush 2, kingdom hearts remix
Bump because I put a lot of effort into my reply

Sorry anon, I think it's dead.
>>384063663
That's a shame. In that case, goodnight anon!
there's been nothing notable released on PC this year. every notable game that comes to mind is a PS4 exclusive.
>most anticipated
cuckhead
>bought
hollow knight. it's basically Ori with actual combat and tight platforming.
>>384061702
is N:A good (on PS4, not PC)? I've heard conflicting things about it being too long and boring and RPG-like.
>>384058956
>personal GOTY so far
Persona 5 or Nier Tomato
>most anticipated game to be released this year
Cuphead, but not too hyped about anything this year t b h. Dragon ball fighterz for next year
>biggest disappointment so far
The utter shit state of marvel vs capcom
>how many games did you buy that were released in 2017
4 so far

I think its a marvellous game. The main criticism seems to be that you have to replay half the story from a different perspective but it not that big a deal and wasnt tedious to me. Story, characters and music were all GOAT. I reallt don't know why people aren't liking it, but it might just be contrarianism since the game was praised very highly here on releqse and there's still always a more thread in the catalogue
Nier: Automata definetely.
Don't think I played anything else from 2017, I've been catching up with 2016. Prey is next and it looks promising.
Not very hyped for anything, but I guess Dishonored and Middle Earth.
>>384063874
>Too long
How the fuck is this a complaint?
It's an Action RPG, does that qualify as RPG-like?
>>384064428
no, the actual complaint about long ARPGs is mandatory filler that adds nothing but length to the game.

>Personal GOTY
Personal 5. Few games have that much hype behind them and are actually able to deliver.
>Most Anticipated
Marvel Infinite. Not for excitement, more just to get it over with. The moment it's out, everyone can move on.
>Biggest disappointment
Marvel Infinite for obvious reasons
>2017 Purchases
Nioh, P5, n:A, Yakuza 0
