>poor as heck
>putting up with shitty old computer that can't run anything even remotely "current gen"
>even games as old as 10 years need to have their settings down to get a reliable frame rate
>finally come across some money
>spend a bunch of it on a fancy new computer
>spend some more on fancy new games
>install and play them one by one
>slowly realize I don't like them
>even the newest games are still pretty ugly compared to what I was expecting
>years of conditioning have made me really uncomfortable whenever I see a game at anything above medium settings
>have to keep a frame counter in the corner of my screen to remind me that there's no lag and that it's okay for the game to be set to ultra
>just spend most of my time avoiding playing games because it's more conflicting/uncomfortable than it is fun
>filled with regret over getting a decent pc
What do I do? I can't seem to go back to my old games anymore but I don't like the new ones.
