It's your mouse sensitivity that matters. dpi is just for precision and beyond a certain point it stops making a difference.

If your cm/360 is below 15 you're probably a shitter

Nah, it's just not a good test. My in-game sensitivity is about 75% of what it is in Windows, so testing it with a higher speed than what I would normally use just feels uncomfortable. I still got a decent score, but I don't really care about that. It's just not a good test. It would be better if it could adjust your cursor speed based on what you would use for in-game sensitivity too.

It depends on your resolution. If you're on a lower resolution, a lower DPI setting is okay because there isn't as much space for your cursor to move across.

In some games the in-game sensitivity can't go low enough for it to be usable so I have to lower it on the mouse. Otherwise it's great. For me it makes a bigger difference for practical UI tasks than games.

Are you just leaving all your in-game sensitivities at default? I have a 1360x768 monitor, 800 DPI is good in Windows but too fast at default settings in-game so I drop it down from 3 to 2.2 in Source games.

how do you feel when games don't let the sensitivity affect the ui cursors. It's the whole reason I dropped using high dpi + low game sens. 400 DPI just werks.

If you overshoot, then turn down the sens
If you can't reach targets before kil, turn it up
Lowe is generally better becaue it allows you to be more accurate once you've learned how to use your arm/elbow to aim instead of using solely your wrist
Wrist is still important for small adjustments, but arm is better because it's better at making straight lines and building solid muscle memory
