First batch of games came with a vulnerability in Denuvo. This allowed them to be cracked quickly. It was fixed, but in reality almost nothing changed internally.
Next version came after CPY cracked non-vulnerable Denuvo builds.
So far we have V1 and it's minor upgrade (both are the same internally and use stolen VMP) and V2 (with a new VM).

News outlets have called the last revision v4, Denuvo themselves don't actually regard them as versionings so they wouldn't call this v3. The versionings is a community generated identification system.

If the guy is shilling, he does so for a Denuvo competitor, which there are none. If he's shilling for Denuvo, then he's doing the exact opposite of what he's supposed to do. As it happens, your side of your pointless argument is the one trying to side with Denuvo, which is the supposed shill's side.
A shill would be OP, and anyone trying to minimize the documented failures of Denuvo. In a way, reducing the version number DOES make it sound like Denuvo failed less, putting Denuvo in a better light, and helping to promote Denuvo's image. That is the shill's job.
