I've always liked the concepts of monks. Do actual chinese monks know Kung Fu in real life or are they peaceful?

i love and hate poe monk. i like that you can spam the abilities and warp around the battlefield at sanic speed. the micromanagement is just awful though and it requires you do it often and even if you're perfect you're still on the edge of death every time

There is a populated private server (Uthgard) and the official server (Ywain?) is still up. It is an old low population mmo but it's not completely dead.

But not all monks know martial art, but they are all peaceful

Oh yeah a lot of the dnd games would have monks, since iirc they're a core class in 3.5

I'm not in love with dnd as a computer game ruleset but they're there.

You can play as copper monk in sleeping dogs

DQIX a monk who uses claws and a staff. FFXII has a monk class that uses a staff and unarmed.

Pretty sure that's DLC. You can get a monk outfit from playing the base game as well.

You can incarnate into sort of monks in Omikron the Nomad Soul, though it doesn't change much gameplay wise. There are two, and they both know martial arts.

Here in Japan monks are either the exact same as priests or poor beggar assholes who go around ringing a bell for money. It depends on the sect of Buddhism but generally the less mainstream the more fucked they are.
