Oh shit, really? Fuck I'd love to roll a pistol build finally. Rolled unarmed/psi hybrid first time, in the middle of an assault rifle build currently. It's powerful as fuck but I honestly had a lot more fun with my pneumatic ancient rat hound fists just obliterating everyone and getting extra ap, while CCing to shirbwith grenades and psi. Most fun I've had with a crpg in years.

What should I try my next playthrough if I finish my current one before the expansion?

Pure psi build is also fun as fuck, but only if you remember where to find all the psionic mentors as they open up all the fun combinations.

Crossbows + traps offers a lot of variety but it rewards, or even requires, slow and methodical play unlike your previous builds.

Or rollback to one of the earlier patches, before it was massively nerfed, and make a crit knife build to be a complete murder machine.
