I missed prebuffed dva because now everyone instalocks her before I can pick her.

DESU dva was fine if there's one necessary thing it's the ult buff but defense matrix was too much.

I have the opposite opinion, I miss the old Ult but think the DM buff was necessary.

The old Ult's timer and SD potential made it tricky to use, but consequently had tricks to it. You could boost straight up, Ult, and hide somewhere, the mech would land almost at the same time as the explosion, meaning anyone who didn't look up have no time to respond. This doesn't work anymore, doing that now has it explode way too high up to hit anyone except maybe Pharah.

The timer also had it's area denial much stronger. instead of holding people off the point for 3 seconds, it held them off for 5, which was long enough for your team to step onto the point and get a large chunk of it before the enemy team came out of hiding.

It just removed a lot of creative uses for the ult.

It's not terrible, but honestly the problem right now is the community. Everyone takes the game so seriously you're not allowed to have fun in any game mode. You cannot play non-meta heroes and picking Hanzo or Widowmaker is considered throwing and will consequently have other players throw.

Even CoD players don't take the game this seriously. It's as if there's actually some real life reward to gitting gud at overwatch, and reminding players that this isn't the case results in you getting reported for toxicity.

Playing with friends is really the only way to have fun, so if your friends are going to play with you then you'll probably find some value in it.

But Hanzo and Widowmaker are useless. Hanzos only redeeming quality is his ult and Widowmaker just shouldn't exist. It is always better to pick a hero with a more reliable damage output who can be agressive and push the point. Sitting on a ledge snipping is fucking useless because your headshot on a roadhog is healed instantly by self heal, your bodyshot that took you 10 shots to get on that soldier just got undone by 2 Anna bullets or god forbid 2 seconds of a Mercy, and oh no its Pharah/Genji/Winston/half the fucking roster and now you're dead. If you want to snipe go play tf2 where being a sniper is not such a detriment to your team.

I understand you want to have fun but winning is more fun than you getting maybe 1 or 2 half decent kills in the entire game. For Christ sake playing a tank or healer or an actual fun dps is more enjoyable then missing 90% of your shots then getting a legit no scope

hanzo is one of the best chars in the game. His mobility, and damage is to be feared.
But, like widowmanker, he is high skill, situation specific and you get all the try hard babbies who want to look like 133t gamers picking them constantly and in situations where they are virtually throwing the game for the rest of the team
