I got killed by a wookie player in a mod for Star wars jedi academy. Never made me rage the past 10,000 times it had happened but something about the spectator view switching immediately to him and seeing him rigorously spam taunts got the best of me. Honestly: I was playing World of Warcraft Arena at the end of Season 3 back in burning crusade. I was one of the best rogues on my server playing Double Rogue/Druid composition with the only geared rogue/druid who could fucking pvp.

Well, it was the last day and we were playing a safety game and we get matched against Rogue/Mage/Priest, a pretty easy combo. I sap the rogue out of stealth and we open priest and force cooldowns pretty much instantly. Our druid comes from stealth and fucking plays so piss poor that the enemy mage pretty much solo kills the other rogue on our team, while the druid is completely free to cast. I had never been gladiator at this point and I am now fucking livid with this dude. I forgot to mention by the way that I am playing with my computer on an entertainment center for TVs to go on, where DVD players and movies go beneath behind a glass door.

The fuckup, is that I kick my foot forward, not trying to break anything, but I hit the glass just right and it fucking shatters everywhere. I didn't cut my foot at all, but I had to get a vacuum and get rid of a shit ton of glass. My best friend and 2s partner had actually walked upstairs and into the room right as I did this.

I'm still salty at how fucked our druid played that game. We tilted off the face of the earth and dropped from 2250 rating to like 1900 that night, I got gladiator next season though.

I usually try to kill bosses without specially thinking of tactics, just in a way of "see attack - try to avid attack". If i got stuck on some really hard for me at that moment boss, i start to replay it, enraging myself more and more, making more and more mistakes in evade moves. At some moment i start to hit my wrists with my own fists and bite my fingers enough to feel pain. At some moment (after some more fail tries at this boss) i understand, that i need to give my hands a rest, and while my hands are resting, i calm down and start not just rushing into boss, while trying to evade and think of something only when i see it, but think of a strategy for several moves in a row like "dash there, then hit, then move back and wait for this current attack, then dash etc". After i try 1-3 of this strategies i finally see way, how to beat this boss, and then i beat one.

Well, to tell you the truth, It must have been when I was playing Dark Souls back in 2012 with the kids, the first one, and I was over at the dark area farming for humanity. And you've never played a souls game and don't know what humanity is, it's kinda like those extra lives in Super Mario Bros with the 1up mushrooms. Now I love the souls series and frankly to tell you the truth, I'm uncertain that I would get angry most of the time at these kinds of games. But today I was really feeling it. Cause I got damn mad. So me and the wife listened to some Celine Dion to calm my nerves, and I tell you the truth, it made everything seem just fine. And boy, was I in a swell mood afterwards. I went for a 30 min jog and felt so darn good.

Point is, if you get mad at video games, you might just need to talk a break. Calm down. Chat with your friends. Cuddle with your girlfriend. It's not hard if you put your mind to it. Trust me.

Killzone 2's final level had me gurgling with anger

I shot a guy with a sniper like 3 times in a row in MW2, only to have him one shot me with a bodyshot. It came after a long tirade of being fucked over by grenade launchers and dicks who used that broken marathon and commando perk combination. I've never touched the series since.

A guy in battlefield was circling the spawn point with a helicopter and killing people as they spawned. He got angry at me when I used a stinger to kill him and I absolutely lost my shit. Fucking spawn campers should fucking die.

Any Battlefield match where all my squad members play a sniper, hide in the farthest reaches of the map and try to be 'le epic sniper guy' whilst getting like 6 kills a match gets me mildly grumpy. Play the objective you cunts.

How many people ITT who break shit or scream at people white? I've noticed this trend where the only people who get excessively mad at video games are white people.

I'm not going to act like I maintain a serene level of calmness when I play vidya but like, I just got done playing the Splatoon 2 Testfire thing and the worst I did was snap my finger and say "damn!", and it never goes any further than that in any game.
I play Smash with a bunch of black guys in Uni and the loudest anyone gets is laughing at the nonsense antics that go down, but the 2 white guys are known to yell during teams or just get up and ragequit midmatch. I'm feeling tempted to do a case study on this trend.

Whites play this games seriously. Especially if that's some onlime contest game. Especially if there is rangs, which depend on winning/losing.

Getting combo'ed or hit multiple times in a short amount of time quickly gets my blood boiling, but one hit kills are fine with me for some reason.

Whenever I have gotten significantly angry at a video game it's because of other things, it's just a proxy for venting that frustration.

That said I've deleted saves more than once and then started from scratch more than once. Its usually caused by missing something that you only get one chance at or the like. Also deleted MMO characters for the same reason.

Fallout 4's build a portal the the institute mission was bugged on release, making it impossible to finish building the portal. I didn't know that, so I sat there for 3 hours trying to build this fucking portal. After doing some research and realizing that it was berthesdas fault I got so angry I threw my cloud 2s and broke them.
