If you're looking for fast paced combat, go with one of the ranger classes or whatever theyre called. I remember they were pretty quick with their daggers and bows compared to the melee and magic classes. But honestly, if you didn't even find the guts class or other classes fun, you're done. It's over. Clock out and play something else.

That said I fucking love Dragon's Dogma and it remains one of the only games I've ever bought three seperate times.

What is the most fun vocation to play as? First time I play this and went with strider and switched to assasin(lvl 40 now). I'm having mixed feelings with this vocation though.

My experience with Dragons Dogma was "Oh hey this is pretty fun. Wow this map is gonna be huge. Oh ok it's not actually that big. Ok so it's not a huge map but there sure is a lot of backtracking. Oh fast travel stones...oh more backtracking. Better save my 2 fast travel stones...more backtracking. Holy shit this game is fucking tedious."

It does start of promising and the ideas are cool but the constant running back and forth and doing the same shit over and over with the occasional big monster fight, even those got tedious, just made the game a chore. Dragon's Dogma isn't bad it's just one of the most severely fucking overrated games I've ever played. Beat it and never looked back.

I really loved being a magic knight, or whatever they were called, it's been a while.

Loved setting up "traps" with that orb thing, since it would activate off of damn near anything, so I'd set it up next to me, enchant my shield, and then block attacks, the shield effect, and the enemy stepping near it would both activate it, giving me a lot of damage when I was defending.

Oh yeah true, I usually just slap myself on that wall in Gran Soren, near the castle. Switch myself to the vocation I want my Main Pawn playing in Everfall/BBI, teach them how to play properly, then switch to my own vocation and AFK for about 4 hours while I do other shit, then come back to fully levelled vocations ready to face everything else and a not-retarded pawn.
