RE5 is basically RE4 but significantly shorter (11 hours) and with better combat.

For example, the Majini are almost exactly the same as thr Ganado, up to the villagers turning into tentacle heads that die instantly to flash grenades. I actually prefer Majini though. There's a single El Gigante fight, but it's a turret section. The most damning part of the game is that there's a bossfight midway through that spawns a fucking retarded amount of ammo and removes what little scarcity the game had left.

Fantastic game in co-op.

That's disappointing, I didn't really find RE4 scary, but I liked the panic that it induced when you felt cornered. I might just jump over to Dead Space since it seems more in line with survival horror, although I'll probably get RE5 for the co-op later on.

Just so you know, RE6 isn't bad and the memes that the shitters spread are stale af now. No the campaigns are not the greatest, but the core gameplay is damn fun. Hope they salvage and expand on the mechanics from RE6 somehow in the future.

RE5 is 4 but doubling down on the cheesy action movie parts and adding coop. If you have someone to coop with it is great, solo it is a pain in the ass because of the AI for your partner.
Dead Space is like a more polished RE4 with a more serious tone. Definitely worth playing.
