Yeah they make pretty good synergies and the angel rooms are actually better than devil rooms because Menorah and bowl of tears. Never understood why Steakmund hated fun and nerfed shit in a single player game that's fun was to find game breaking synergies and tear affects.

Well then if steakmund wants challenge in his roguelike game maybe he can look at what Antibirth is doing rather than making bullshit boss armor make bosses with interesting attack patterns like Hornfel, Woodworm, Reap Creep, The Visage, The Heretic and the scourge or bosses with nice gimmicks like Great Gideon, Tiff Twins and Rotgut.

afterbirth+ doesn't make afterbirth worse in any way and adds some cool stuff like items and the new character (who has a really fun active item)
the new final boss is pretty bullshit in terms of difficulty (he has assloads of health and warps around a lot) but there's no reason to not get afterbirth+ if you're able to

a lot of people will recommend antibirth which is also good but keep in mind that it's not compatible with afterbirth or afterbirth+ so if you're already content with afterbirth there's no reason to not go ahead and pick up AB+ besides financial reasons

nothing in this game will compare to this combo for me. Effortlessly slaughtering entire levels before the van has even spawned, clicking so fast you fear your mouse is gonna break.
Melting decked out with all his "detonate entire level just by spamming RMB" comes in a close second though.
