I just watched it again and this is the part that really looks bad to me. Fast movement always makes discreet frames more evident but here it's exaggerated because the dude goes across most of the screen in only a few frames. Also, I just noticed that he does a full spin in two frames at the very end of this clip.

Anyway, the animation isn't awful or anything, I'm just mad that they couldn't make it a little smoother in some parts considering the entire season is literally the length of an average movie.

I said good dialog. Good dialog is a completely viable option. Ideally you do both and just pace it out better. As the show is now, it is just wasting so much time. I get they're probably on a tight budget, but holy shit. The padding was painful in parts how long it goes on for. Basically the entire second episode. There's establishing shots and atmosphere and then there's everything in the second episode.

As far as vidya adaptation go it's among good ones, it can actually become good only if S2 fixes at least half of my problems, desu, mainly, music and snark.

Overall, it was pretty mediocre. Releasing 4 out of 12 episodes is pretty weird too. I liked seeing subweapons and the whip actually being used properly but that's about it.
I'm not sure if the dialogue is more Ellis's fault or IGA's. I'm just going to blame Ellis.

Also, Trevor in the moon dub is voiced by one of Dracula's old VAs. Kind of weird casting on that.
