It's pretty hard to talk about indie games on /v/. I haven't figured out a reliably good way to do it. If something is already out it's not as hard but pre-release it's not happening. OP still sounded really uncanny though.

The rocks look like clay, the characters look like plastic, the moose or whatever is using vertex shading for some reason, the trees are suffering form UE3 radioactive green syndrome, it looks like they attempted to use global illumination but fucked up the strength so it looks like the grass is made of green glass reflecting almost 50% of incoming light.
