It's a pretty unique game with some underwhelming aspects, such as the actual gunplay and optimization. With enough patches, it will be a pretty great game, and while I am cautious about saying so, I believe the devs actually care about this game and have been very consistent on updates.

What DLC? The only dlcs there are are just seasonpasses and you don't actually need those if you just buy the standard edition and aren't a casual.

The game is focused on modding because the guy was a modder and is a millionaire now. He said he wants to find the next "him". It's going to have a lot of cool mods like quake and CS and shit used to have.
